Thank you. I was brought up Jewish as both my parents are Jewish, but in 1997, I was baptized and am a Christian.

Wow . When I left Catholicism in my late 20's to become your old fashioned generic Christian , both sides of our family , Sicilian and Irish/Polish, freaked . It was a process ( for them ). I do notice that we have many more Catholic rituals at Christmastime . It's kinda cool b/c they are group activities . One is a Polish custom of taking a large Catholic communion wafer and everyone taking a piece . Then we go around the room to each person , taking a little bit of theirs while telling them, I love you or thanking for helping you with something or anything positive . Then they take a bit of yours and say some kind words . The tradition is called oplatek . The Poles really get into Christmas , google their rituals .
